How We Work

TAPPER & ASSOCIATES works closely with clients to develop clear project objectives, detailed workplans, and practical timelines. We begin by conducting an introductory meeting or telephone interview with you, to collect background information and discuss project goals, expectations, and critical success factors.  Next, we develop a draft engagement letter outlining the proposed project scope and objectives, key tasks, timing, staffing, and fees. All aspects of this proposal letter are subject to client review and approval.

As part of the project planning process, we ask you to designate a Client Project Manager. This individual is assigned day-to-day project management responsibilities, and receives ongoing written and verbal project status reports from the TAPPER & ASSOCIATES Project Leader. Additionally, some clients choose to convene a project committee or interdepartmental task force to whom we can provide regular status reports and present key findings. Where appropriate, we encourage client managers and staff to participate on the project team.  This ensures that the appropriate project support and buy-in are obtained at the client level, and that all action steps are implemented. However, TAPPER & ASSOCIATES often continues its involvement on a project by providing ongoing client support and education, as needed.

TAPPER & ASSOCIATES uses a phased project approach that involves ongoing client approval. This permits a client the flexibility to make modifications to the project scope or to stop the project, at any point.  A key feature of our consulting approach is the direct involvement of TAPPER & ASSOCIATES principal consultants in all phases of the project.  Principals work on-site with the project team and attend all key meetings.  Clients have direct access to principals.  This ensures that your organization will benefit from their decades of experience in the health care industry.

TAPPER & ASSOCIATES engages consultants on a project-by-project basis. Team members are assigned to a project based on the specific needs of a project and only the most qualified consultants are used.  We have the analytical skills needed to define the required technical expertise and the industry contacts to locate the right individuals.  All consultants assigned to a project and the scope of their involvement are subject to client approval.

We understand the urgency of a client’s needs and will do “whatever it takes” to achieve results.  We have all worked in client service firms where responsiveness and “going the distance” are core values.  Customer service is our hallmark, and we have the track record and client references to prove it.
